Being a former pro wrestling nerd in my childhood really helped on today’s puzzle. There are a few red herrings lurking as well, and I fell for one hiding in Yellow. Purple definitely just happened for me today, but it’s a fill-in-the-blank format that they love to throw at us. Connections Bot rated this puzzle a 2/5, so you should be fine with today’s solve.

I’ll tell you what: things looked very promising after my starting word of ROATE gave me three clues right off the bat. My second guess helped even further… but then I was stuck. I looked at that third guess for a LONG time this morning before finally piecing together the only word I knew that fit the bill. My clue for you: it’s a color.

Nobody Knows What’s Happening in Iran

The more accurate subheading would be nobody knows what the United States will do in Iran, and that includes the Orange Man in the White House. Which — I gotta be honest yet am not surprised — makes me feel even more uneasy about the whole situation.

I’ve been around long enough to know that Israel has wanted this war for a LONG time, and they’ve tried everything to get a US President to go along with it. So far that has been a fool’s errand for Netanyahu. Unfortunately, it’s looking like he might have found his patsy with Trump.

I’m not going to pretend like I’m some international conflict expert, but this situation seems to become more dire as the days go on. The worst possible thing the United States can do is get involved as it might trigger the rest of NATO to do the same. You know… the thing that Trump wanted to leave in the first place.

Never let a good crisis go to waste I suppose?
